It is presumed to be a disciple of Ashikuni Asayama(蘭英斎芦国). He is a person from Osaka and draws many actors.
His drawing period is from the 10th year of Bunka (1813) to the 3rd year of Tenpo (1832).
He uses art nem. He initially called himself Juyoshi(寿好), Ashimaro(芦麿), and Ashimaru(芦丸), and later changed his name to Yoshikuni(よし国) around the 13th year of Bunka (1816). In addition, he used art name of Hokoku(芳国), Hoshu(芳洲), Jukoudou(寿好堂), Juhotei(寿好亭), and Jukoudou(寿公堂). He also used the seal “Takaki(たかき)”, which was named “Takagi(高木)” or “Takashiro(高城)”.
His disciples include Umekuni Jugyodo(寿暁堂梅国), Masakuni Jukakudo(寿鶴堂政国), Toshikuni Juyodo(寿陽堂とし国), Chikakuni Juhoudo(寿宝堂千歌国), Fujikuni Jumatsudo(寿松堂ふじ国), Kiyokuni Jusakudo(寿曙堂清国), Toyokawa Hidekuni(豊川英国), and Taka Yoshiyuki(高よし幸).
