Original woodblock print – Tamamura Hokuto 玉村北久斗 (1893-1951) – “Shuten Doji” 酒呑童子 – ca 1923

memo(Tamamura Hokuto 玉村北斗)
Born in 1897 in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto. Prefecture.
1911 Graduated from Kyoto City College of Art and Design.
In the same year, he went to Kyoto City College of Painting
1915After graduating from a vocational school, he formed “Mitsukuri-kai”, a group that studies Japanese painting with graduates of Okamoto Shinso(岡本神草), Kaisho nosho (甲斐庄楠音), irie hako(入江波光) and other art graduates.
A representative work is “Port of Minatomachi”.

memo(Yamagishi Kazue)
age of 15 and became a disciple of woodblock sculptor Rikichi Muto. Eventually, he worked at the Yomiuri News company instead of his, carved illustrations and studied woodcuts, and studied art at the Takahashi Western Painting Laboratory, led by Kiyoteru Kuroda.
