Original woodblock print, Published by Doi Hangaten 土井版画店 – Paper – Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949) – ‘Nagaragawa ukai’ 長良川 鵜飼 (Ukai in Nagara River) – Japan – 1940-60

Note: Tsuchiya Koitsu is a well-known artist of the Shin Hanga movement, but not among the trendy names like Hasui, Ito Shinsui or Natori Shunsen.
Tsuchiya Koitsu specialized in landscape images.
His beautiful prints are of excellent quality and a good buy for collectors of Japanese twentieth century prints.

First edition 1940 (Showa 15 period)
This is a later edition, printed using the original woodblocks.
