A disciple of Katsukawa Shunei. He use to Katsukawa as his artname, and use him Kashosai(可笑斎) and Toryusai(登竜斎). He first learned from Tsutsumi Tou Rin(堤等琳) and called him Akirin, but later became a disciple of Shunei, and after the New Year in the Bunka 3 period (1806), he called himself Shunsen(春扇). From culture to literary era, he draws beauty paintings, actor paintings, and landscape paintings. From around the Bunsei 3 period (1820), he use artname the Haruyoshi II. It is said that he moved to Shibajinmeicho in his later years and took a painte for pottery.
