1931 (Showa 6) Graduated from Shimoda Hirotsugu High School and entered Shizuoka Prefectural Shimoda High School for Girls(静岡県立下田高等女学校).After graduating from the same school in 1935, he entered the Western Painting Department of the Normal Department of Joshibi University of Art and Design (女子美術大学).
After learning leather dyeing and weaving while attending school, he started making leather crafts.Held a solo exhibition at Tokyo Ginza Shiseido in 1950. From the following year, he will become a disciple of Kakutaro Yamazaki(Yamazaki Kakutarou).
Stayed in Italy for 7 months from June 1983 to study leather crafts. Many of his works in the 1950s used model works made of leather for decoration such as furniture, but in the 1960s he made his own works made of leather.
Exhibited “Utage” at the 4th Nitten Exhibition in 1961 and won the Special Selection and Hokuto Award. Also, in 1987, he exhibited “Black Sun(黒い太陽)” at the 1st Contemporary Crafts and Arts Association Exhibition(第1回現代工芸美術協会展) and was selected for the first time. In 1964, exhibited “Marimo” at the 7th Nitten Exhibition and won the Kikuka Award. Became a judge of the 1965 Nitten Crafts Department, a member of the Contemporary Crafts and Art Association, and a member of the 1966 Nitten Exhibition. In 1969 he formed the comprehensive art exhibition “Ushio 潮”.

Since then, he will continue to exhibit at the exhibition. In the latter half of the 1960s, he began to use various techniques such as weaving and staking, as well as expressing unevenness by hitting the leather surface. Challenge leather molding works.

From the latter half of the 1970s, he became interested in ancient motifs such as Jomon, and began to incorporate Jomon and swell into his works. In 1979 he traveled to China. She was invited to exhibit at the Contemporary Women’s Art Exhibition in 1980, and she has been exhibiting at the exhibition since then. In the same year, he withdrew from Kofukai. In 1981, he exhibited “Ori” at the 20th Contemporary Crafts Exhibition and received the Prime Minister’s Award. In 1982, he exhibited “Myth” at the 14th Nitten Exhibition, and the following year he received the 39th Japan Art Academy Prize for this work and became a member of the Japan Art Academy in 1985.
