Description

katana is made by combining parts such as tsuka, saya and tsuba.
tsuka is handle, the part for grasping the katana.
saya is sheath, the part for holding blade . and there is a role to protect the blade.
tsuba is the part that is attached between the blade and the handle(tsuka). Those that protect the hand holding the handle.
